UPDATE

CRYSERV CLIENT  Game Client - Mandatory Update

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1076.0 )
The INTERNET lobby/server list has been changed to a modernized UI solution
→ Space for at once visible 20 instead of 12 servers in the server list
→ Automatically collapsing and expanding player list
→ Revised server information that are now useful
→ Support for the configurable privacy mode of the player list in CryServ
→ Added possibility to see the optional server operator info directly in the server list
→ Added support for Conquest game mode
→ Over a dozen fixed bugs compared to the original UI server list
The LAN lobby/server list has been adapted to the INTERNET Lobby in terms of function and design
The now obsolete console server list has been removed
Various other improvements and optimizations

The solution to manage the server list via the console, which was created out of necessity in 2014, has undergone several revisions in recent years. Nevertheless, it was always a compromise that was often used as a last argument against CryServ.

Since Alex and I didn't want to simply use the standard solution, we've given the LAN and INTERNET lobby a general overhaul, a modernization if you will.

We really hope you like the changes ๐Ÿ™‚ and we would also like to thank everyone who has not taken offense at the previous nostalgic solution โœŒ๏ธ.

UPDATE

CRYSERV CLIENT  Game Client - Mandatory Update

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1075.6 )
Fixed an error in the automatic reconnect handling for aborted connection processes with a subsequently created client server
Added configurability for freezing and shattering vehicles and disabled it by default
 → CVar "g_vehicleCanBeFrozen" and "g_vehicleFrozenCanBeShattered"
→ CVars are only processed if a server has been created from the client

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1075.5 )
Added HUD support for vehicle classes not originally included in the game
Fixed bug when the parachute was triggered several times when opening that it no longer worked
Minor other improvements and optimizations

A small update that should please everyone who wants to have fun with custom vehicle classes from time to time. After all, without a damage indicator, speed and crosshairs, the usability and the feeling of use was very limited.

All praise for the UI extension goes to Alex626 and to Flow Groover from which the initial version of the HUD used originated.

Supplementary
HUD support for vehicles is designed in such a way in Crysis that it must usually always be specified to a class. The universal solution that has now been implemented will very probably work flawlessly for 99% of the more than 200 vehicles available that were created by third parties, however, vehicles that do not meet the standardized specifications could of course not be considered as they require specific adaptations.

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1075.4 )
The B button on controllers can now also be used to stop zooming
The top left shoulder button on controllers is now exclusive in zoom mode
The "actionmaps.xml" has been revised again in preparation for an upcoming change ( controller related )
The game language can now be changed directly in the game settings
Minor other improvements and optimizations

This is hopefully the last update for this version number, including further improvements for the use of controllers and some other small optimizations.

In addition, the language can now be conveniently changed via the UI ๐Ÿ™‚. The languages displayed are determined based on the languages installed in the game itself and the languages available in the CryServ-Client.

As usual ๐Ÿ˜…, all praise for the UI customizations goes to Alex626.

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1075.3 )
Fixed that after using the B button in in-game menus, the stick could move the view again
Fixed that you could trigger with a controller to fall to the ground as a spectator
Fixed a bug in the menu with overlapping text in the warning box
Fixed disconnections with the steam version due to file check on servers created by the client
Added skip pregame function ( if more than one player ) for games started from within the game
Added score/pp/cp/rank recovery system for servers created from the client
The B button can now also be used to close the modification menu, buy menu and the map overview
Joining the game for the first time in PowerStruggle is now without waiting time on client-servers
A team change now takes place without being killed by the game on client-servers
The creator of the server can now change the team without a blocking period on client servers
Client Console Command "map" extended with material layer function
 → cc map layer <wet-frozen>
→ cc map layer <wet-frozen> all
Minor other improvements and optimizations

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1075.2 )
Several possible error scenarios addressed when changing the game language without restarting the game
Fixed in console command "item" that sporadically no attachments were added on dual wield weapons
Minor other improvements and optimizations

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1075.1 )
For user files, "Documents/My Games/CryServ" is now used instead of "Documents/My Games/Crysis Wars"
Fixed some problems that only occurred on certain Linux distributions ( Thanks to Comrade for testing )
Changing the game language is now possible without restarting the game ( Credits to FAPP )
Minor other improvements and optimizations
C1-Launcher updated by Comrade with the following changes / bug fixes
→ Incorrectly trimmed spaces from CPU model name in specific cases
→ Rare crash in the engine due to out-of-bounds access of the "CPUInfo::cores" array
→ Mods can now request their own user directory in "Documents/My Games/" by exporting GetUserDirName

All players who were online yesterday had not read the Patch-Notes and therefore did not delete the actionmaps.xml ( my trust in mankind ๐Ÿ˜„ ). As this can lead to problems with key mapping, CryServ uses now a own user folder thanks to Comrade.

If you have problems with the controls or use a controller, you should definitely update to this version.

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1075.0 )
Fixed problems that prevented use under Linux and on the Steam Deck
Game setting for "Blood" is now also available in the Steam version of Crysis Wars
Fixed issues that only occurred in the Steam version of Crysis Wars
New default HUD color for initial installation and new profiles added
Fixed various bugs in the menu that caused color changes for individual texts not to be applied
Fixed duplicate listings of newly downloaded maps in the server creation menu
Fixed various bugs in the game and in the menu when using a controller
The controller support has been completely revised and now offers full support for controllers
Overview in the controller key assignment menu, completely revised and completed
New options added to the menu for some CryServ specific in-game features
Added possibility to change the game language directly in the game with the CVar "g_loadLanguage"
Added CVar "g_loadLevel" to directly change the map for a game started from within the game
Fixed a bug that caused a game started from within the game to become unusable after a map change
Added support for spawning known and unknown item- and vehicle classes
Added client console commands for games started from within the game

 → cc vehicle <vehicle class> <paint>
 → cc vehicle <vehicle class> <modification>
 → cc vehicle <vehicle class> <modification> <paint>
 → cc thirdperson
 → cc walljump
 → cc rpgmod
 → cc cloakmode
Various other improvements and optimizations

Client Console Commands
Starting a game with a map from within the game for quick tests is actually a very practical and useful thing. Unfortunately, basic advanced options for checking or testing were missing, which made this difficult or even impossible. Now that the problems with changing maps outside of the level rotation in this mode have finally been resolved, we thought it would be a useful addition.

For all those who may have concerns, this operating mode is not directly integrated into CryServ and can therefore currently only be used locally, i.e. only in the local network.

Thanks again to Alex626 for the adjustments to the menus and the help with testing the new features.

IMPORTANT

The standard key assignments have been revised, i.e. unused, incorrect or duplicate entries have been removed and adjustments have been made for full controller support. Therefore, either a new profile must be created or the file:

"Documents/My Games/Crysis Wars/Profile/<PROFILNAME>/actionmaps.xml"

.. be deleted from the profile, so that it can be recreated correctly. As always, you can find more information and videos about the new features on our Discord server.

UPDATE

CRYSERV CLIENT  Game Client - Mandatory Update

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1074.1 )

Due to the somewhat more extensive changes of the implementation of the hyprid third-first person mode, some small errors have crept in as feared. These are only minor issues, but I didn't want to publish the next update for a few weeks and don't want to leave these bugs open until then.

Fixed a bug that caused a weapon to fire without sound when switching back to first person
Fixed a bug that caused the zoom mode to be buggy when switching between applications and clicking back into the game
Fixed a bug that caused the third-person view of the vehicle to be taken over by the character when getting out of it
Some minor optimizations

Patch Notes ( v.2.0.1074.0 )

In this update I would like to emphasize the possibility of controlled gliding while falling and the new implementation of the hybrid third-first person view. Since the hybrid-mode is now triggered based on events, actions in most scenarios work more directly/faster and the complete reimplementation has also fixed some long-standing bugs. Is it therefore perfect, certainly not ๐Ÿ˜„, but it is a noticeable improvement ๐Ÿ™‚.

Note: I have only slightly changed the camera position and collision in this version, these will be revised more extensively in the next version.

Re-Implementation of the hyprid third-first person view
Added controlled gliding in free fall with a FPS independent maximum range ( press W in free fall to glide forward )
Added additional and flashing "MALFUNCTION" indicator in the event of an engine failure
Added EMP "MALFUNCTION" indicator with red background for vehicles in the same design as for the Nanosuit
Added paste from clipboard for in-game chat ( Ctrl + V )
Added that third person view is now also available on mounted weapons
Added that third person view is now also available on ladders
Added that zooming on mounted weapons is now possible in first and third person
Added parachute morphing when opened in a customized, optimized way
Added that parachute actions now have sounds ( opening, opened, closing )
Changed that the vehicle HUD was affected by the Nanosuit EMP effect ( these now react independently )
Changed the background color of the vehicle HUD from white to black ( now uniform with the other hud-elements )
Revised spectator camera for free fall and on the parachute
Revised third person camera perspective in free fall and on a parachute
Fixed that the parachute display was not shown when a player received the parachute while falling
Fixed that a player could sporadically die when opening the parachute
Fixed incorrect item/weapon position after an interaction ( third person as well as other players )
Fixed wrong FGL40 position during modification when initiated from third person
Fixed that an activated flashlight was not visible in the modification animation when initiated from third person
Fixed that the RadarKit could not be used in third person and it was switched to first person
Various other improvements and optimizations
The client shortcuts for DirectX 9 and 10 now have different icons for better visual differentiation
PDF documentation revised

A big thank you once again to Alex626, without whose help the revision of the vehicle display would not have been possible.

Various other improvements and optimizations

Many thanks for the help or implementation of some of the points or simply for useful tips in this update to Alex626, Comrade and FAPP ๐Ÿ™‚.

nVidia and DirectX 10
An important note to all NVidia users, all driver versions after 537.42 cause crashes in several older games, also Crysis is affected in the DirectX 10 version, until this problem is fixed you should not use the latest driver or use the game in the DirectX 9 version.

Update: I have posted a solution to this problem in Discord which will be part of the client installation from the next update.

A ton of other minor improvements, optimizations and otherwise necessary adjustments

Some changes ( also not listed ones ) are so essential that after the first use you wonder how it could ever have been different, you understand what I mean when using them ๐Ÿ™‚ ... Finally, thanks again to Alex626 for his help.

HQ Targeting System
The automatic target acquisition system for the HQ with the TACGunEX has replaced the TACGun on all maps in CryServ by default, but every server operator can change this preconfiguration.

This system makes it much easier to hit the HQ ๐ŸŽฏ - Nevertheless, it is not too easy, depending on the server settings, the gun turrets defend the headquarters, if you are too far away or make too artful shots, they will certainly be repelled by them. You should also consider that the projectile has certain steering properties, if the angle is too unfavorable it is impossible for it to reach its target.

Vehicle Engine Start Button
Server operators now have the option to configure that vehicle engines for players do not start directly when boarding ( for bots they start automatically, no matter what is configured ).

Therefore here the hint that these must be started with the key you have configured for Boost, what you have set you can see in the mouse & keyboard settings. The options are labeled accordingly. You can also query the current setting of the server on SSM iTEC, nTEC and BASE servers as usual via the chat command /config.

In case anyone is wondering why this option was added, the question: Have you ever wanted to enter a vehicle quietly for tactical reasons or just lurk ๐Ÿ˜ˆ unnoticed in the driver's seat while in control of the primary weapon? That's exactly what this makes possible.
